Breaking Out In Your Spirit

The peace of God is one of the most valuable possessions for our lives.?His peace leads us, guiding us in His path for our lives. In my own life I’ve always pursued a life of peace because Jesus is the Prince of Peace. A sign of the Presence of Jesus is when His peace is present and resident in our spirit. There are times where we need to get a fresh break-out in our spirit man, a fresh release of His Presence within us. It all begins with our placing ourselves in a receptive mode.

1. Resting in the Presence of God

Psalm 23:2
“He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.”
In our pursuit of God’s Presence we need to learn just how valuable resting is. Natural rest and rest in our souls are very much connected. If we don’t have peace in?our spirit then we will?have a hard time ?getting natural rest as well. That is why it is so important to?learn to soak and rest in God’s Presence, receiving from His Holy Spirit.?Begin by laying down with some peaceful anointed music that will help your spirit to connect with God.?Here you will find a great beginning in your journey of discovery of His Presence.

2. Direct Deposits

Isaiah 55:1
?Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters.”
Some have learned to be dependent on others to receive from God.?The Lord primarily desires to?give us “direct deposits”?into the account of our spirit.? Why settle for less than God’s best? God wants you to know that?He can pour His Presence directly into your heart. You don’t need a priest, a minister or preacher to bring you into God’s Presence. The blood of Jesus gives you access to the Presence of God. Allow God to wash you of all religious preconceptions of condemnation and unworthiness to bring you into a fresh water experience by?His Spirit. God’s Presence is like a big gulp of water when you have been terribly thirsty.

3. Hear Heavenly Sound

Find a place of worship with a new song of your own or something that you can put on your stereo that will surround you with?the sound of heavenly worship.?Create this atmosphere in your prayer room or your place of devotion.?Heavenly sound will create a base for your spirit to connect with God. Ask the Lord to fill you with His sound, opening your heart?to the worship of heaven.
Revelation 4:9-11
“Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty- four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
?You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”

4. Musing on His Words

Psalm 64:6
“When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches.
Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.”
The Lord will speak His words into your heart. Find something to write with. Meditate upon the simplicity of His words. There is no striving to get a word from God. This typically happens when you are not trying at all. God speaks in times where we can be working and doing other things.?The key is when you find?His peace in?the secret place of His Presence, then it carries you throughout the day.?Take notices of the impressions, thoughts and ideas that are coming to mind. Many times this is the Holy Spirit breathing upon you, giving you inspiration.

5. Enjoy His Refreshment

Acts 3:19
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
Change your ways if needed. It will open the doors to refreshing. Sometimes we get in a rut of bad habits.?Change your direction. Know that the fruit of it is a revival in your spirit.?The actual word for refreshing here is the Greek word “anapsyxis” which means “revival, refreshing, cooling and a recovery of breath.”
Let God breathe fresh upon your life. Learn to take joy in His Presence. Make Him your meditation.?Give God the opportunity to refresh you?knowing that He has everything in His hands. Casting all of your cares upon the Lord for He is able to take care you. Release everything to Him, laying it all at His feet. He is bigger. He is better. He Himself is refreshing to your soul.

  1. I have been noticing just how gentle the whispers of God are. So illuminating of course. God specifically told me to come to the website, something I usually don’t do (but I am a fan); nevertheless, as I did that, I saw this paragraph paged on waiting on God. He certainly is my Peace…I’m in a process of beginning a vision and God has been helping me. Thank you for your word on revelation being a direct deposit. It can be easy to read and obtain, but little compares with looking for God in secret. He is able to be found!
