Be a Transmitter of God’s Glory

Praying in the Spirit

When you don’t know how to pray is a great time to pray in tongues. Don’t you know that is a big reason that God gave us His Holy Spirit? When you don’t know how to pray. That happens quite often! At least in my life I’ve found that to be true. There are so many times that I’m at a loss for words so I just begin to pray in the Spirit.

It is so helpful when you can just allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you. That is the place of intercession. It is the place of bridging the gaps. The gaps are when we don’t know how to pray. To intercede is to “stand in the place of”. That means the Holy Spirit comes to intercede or to stand in that place where we don’t know just how to articulate the words in prayer. Did you know that Jesus lives forever to intercede for the saints? The place of intercession is the place where Jesus LIVES! That is what He is doing right now.

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:25

Hang Out With Jesus

Would you like to be with Jesus, doing what He is doing? Intercession is it. It is the place of breakthrough into the earth to see things change. To interceded also means to “strike the mark” or to hit the bullseye. In prayer we can hit the target every time by allowing the Holy Spirit to pray through us. Many times I will begin praying in tongues and minutes later begin to hear the Lord speak what would be the “interpretation” of what I’ve been praying. The spirit of wisdom and revelation is released to know how to pray through that previous intercession of the Spirit.

Intercession also links us to that very intimate communion of the Holy Spirit where we are connecting with Him in a deeper way. (2 Cor. 13:14) In prayer we receive the heart of God – what He is wanting us to participate in to see heaven breakthrough in the earth, even in the lives of people. There is no place like that spontaneous place of prayer where the saturation of the Spirit’s Presence is resting upon you.

…not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3:5

There is no better place to be than in the Presence of the Lord where you experience the washing and renewing of the Holy Spirit. These are the waves of His glory washing over you. It is the benefit of being a participant in prayer with God.

The Blessings of Association

There are so many blessings that He longs to pour out upon us – to innumerable to count! You cannot even begin to number all that He has planned for your life, the blessings He has in store and how real He desires to make Himself to you.

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Romans 2:4

When it comes to God the definition of “good” is so GOOD! God is good – the best good that you can imagine. Don’t ever sell yourself short of His goodness because He will knock your socks off with His love and extravagance!

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Matthew 6:6

As you learn to co-habitate with God in the secret place of His Presence, intercede His heart and be a conduit of His blessings you will partake in the treasures associated with all that you join with the Spirit in the place of prayer. When you connect with God in prayer you connect with His goodness. When you connect with His goodness you discover His blessing.

Be An Intercessory Transmitter

As you discover His blessing you become a transmitter of that same blessing! You might have never thought of yourself as a transmitter before. A transmitter is a set of equipment used to generate and transmit electromagnetic waves carrying messages or signals, especially those of radio or television. You have a message to transmit for the Kingdom of God.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Matthew 5:14

You are the tool that God is going to use to release the waves of His Presence and that carries the message of GOOD news to people. Your life of prayer and intercession is the “engine” that creates the power necessary to transmit these waves and the good message people need to hear.

God is love. God is good. God wants to invade people’s lives. You get to be an intercessory transmitter of the glory of His Presence today – even reaching into people’s lives by carrying the heart of Jesus in intercession for the glory of His Name!
