Every one of us come to places of challenge where we have to choose the report that God promises to us. The good news is that it is always the “good report”! Don’t ever settle for less than than the promise that God has given to you. We are partakers of His divine nature through His promises.
…by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature…
2 Peter 1:4
To inherit the promises of God we must have perseverance and patience that accompany our faith. We recently had a meeting where God’s healing anointing was very present. There were numerous people healed during that time. My wife Brandi had a rotator cuff condition that she had been dealing with over the last year. I had prayed for her many times. She had relief at some points but was never totally healed. Thankfully in this meeting she was completely healed!
If you have ever experienced pain it makes you very grateful to God for healing. The point is to never give up but believe God to perform His promises. At the meeting Brandi was watching these people get healed then all the sudden the light came on when she thought, What am I doing! I need to get in line for healing! We get used to the things we deal with and just accept them as the way it has to be. But God has a different plan.
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Hebrews 6:11-12
God’s goodness is manifested to us through His promises. He reveals His nature to us when His power is demonstrated. He is the Deliverer, Healer, Savior, Provider and much more. This is not what He does as much as WHO HE IS! When we get hold of this we will begin to “partake” of His divine nature, even taking on His nature because He is revealing Himself to us in newness of life.
Whatever reports you are being given make sure to choose God’s good report! He is not a respecter of persons. What He does for one He will do for another. It may not look exactly the same for each person, but His ways are consistent. He looks for child-like faith and those who will not let go until He delivers the goods! Be like bull-dog that does not let go of the bone! Hold on to the promises.
