Come Alive in 2025

A Year of Awakening

2025 is a year of awakening and coming alive to God. Recently I had a dream where “Hunger for God’ was the theme. People were desperate for MORE of the Lord. God wants to transition you into a NEW season! He has an amazing new season for you because He makes all things new!

Take the litmus test on whether you have spiritual hunger for God. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)

Do you want more of His Presence in your life? What means most to you right now?

And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:41-42

Religious works and God’s Presence are not the same.  “Doing things for God” is not the same as hunger for God.  You can be a busy-body, never slowing down to have communion with the Lord.  Don’t be like Martha – she was too busy to slow down.

Divine Paradox

There is a divine paradox that happens when we slow down to be with Jesus. The paradox is that slowing down with Him actually speeds things up where His kingdom comes and His will is being done on earth as it is in heaven. When you believe that your prayer-life is more powerful than all the things you can do in your flesh (to make something happen) you will find time with the Lord.

Spiritual momentum all begins with a hunger and thirst for God. Prayer and intercession is the engine that makes things work. Prayer is the language of dependency upon God. No prayer life equals no dependency upon the Lord.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14

Your divine connection and communion is vital for His divine life to flow through you.

You may be in a place where you realize that you are as dry as a bone. If you can recognize this about your life then the next step is your response. It’s not about mustering up a bunch of good works to please God. Seeking God can come in the form of prayer and fasting, from feeding your flesh and focusing on your spirit instead – seeking the Lord that you might breakthrough into a greater sensitivity to His Presence.

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work…”
John 4:34

If you are not sensing God’s Presence in your life there is a way you can position yourself to receive that blessing from Him. The good news is God has given you a promise that you can walk in the same realities that Jesus did.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
John 14:12

Jesus didn’t live as an orphan without God’s Presence in His life. He was filled to the overflow with God’s Presence and power. He could tell when the virtue of God’s power left His body. (Luke 8:45) He was that conscious of God’s manifested Presence – the power of the Holy Spirit.

Dwelling Places of His Glory

God has called all of us to walk as dwelling places of the glory of God. This is a simple fundamental truth that easily gets lost in the mechanics and machine of religious activity. Do you not know that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit (of the manifested Presence of God)? Just as the glory filled the physical temple so “Christ in us” is the hope of glory for our lives. (Col. 1:27)

We do experience different levels at different times of His Presence in our lives. Sometimes the sensitivity level is high, sometimes lower and sometimes you do feel nothing. But in all times God is looking for us to constantly be pressing in for “more”. If we lose that desire then we’ve truly lost.

Always realize there is “more” of Him. The only thing that keeps us from that is us. We have to be intentional and deliberate in our pursuit of the Lord.

This is not about us although it does begin with us. God puts this responsibility upon each of us because revival begins with us – individually. We are all given the gift of time and should use it well for the glory of God.

Seek the LORD and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
1 Chronicles 16:11

It isn’t that God ever left, but our connection might have. He is always there. He see’s it all and He knows it all. He understands every challenge you face. He also wants to see what your response is going to be. What will you do? Will you pursue Him even more or will you go after the things of the world to attempt to satisfy your discontented heart.

Maybe you’re coming out of a place of difficulty and are just ready for a new season. God loves new seasons. He is the absolute expert and archetect of new seasons! He makes ALL things new! Maybe the last season really stunk and you feel that you’re caught in the left overs of it. Not a concern. God has a new season for you!

His Great Love

The good news is GOD IS LOVE. His love never fails. We don’t pursue Him because He makes great laws but because of His GREAT LOVE for us. He gives us tools, keys and thoughts that help us discover Him in deeper ways.

The Lord is patient, compassionate and understands all things. He calls us to repent. He is merciful. He wants to help you. See your spiritual condition and take action:

  1. Confess your sin to the Lord and ask Him to forgive you. Repent from sin and break your ties with evil and sin. Renouncing those works.
  2. Invite the Lord fill you with His Spirit. Commit your heart to walk in His ways.
  3. Spend time in God’s Word, worship and prayer daily
  4. Find other believers who are hungry for God and join in that pursuit.

Let 2025 be the year that you come alive! “Hunger for God” is the theme for this year. Choose to pursue God like never before. Be a living sacrifice – live for God. Let Him be the air the that you breathe.

Come alive in 2025!
