I. Coming Out of Agreement with Lies
John 8:31-32
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.?And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

We all must come out of agreement with the lies of the enemy to find freedom. ?It is the truth that sets us free from oppression, death, fear, anxiety and confusion. ? When we come into agreement with lies we open the door of our hearts to oppression.? You must be determined to kick the lies of the devil out of your life.? Realize that God has a BETTER plan for you.? Don’t let the devil cause you to settle for less that the best that God has for you. ?What this requires from us in “the knowlege of the truth” that will only come through abiding in the words of Jesus.” ? When we consider truth must be backed up with scripture or we are believing a lie. ?For instance, hopelessness and fear are not of God. ?The enemy is subtle in attempting to deceive people to think something is acceptable when it is not. ?What people define as evil and what God defines as evil can be completely different, and much of the time is.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and NOT OF EVIL, to give you a future and a hope.”

The Hebrew definition of evil:

H7451 ? ?rah?, raw-aw’ From H7489; bad or (as noun) evil (naturally or morally). This includes the second (feminine) form; as adjective or noun: – adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, + displease (-ure), distress, evil ([-favouredness], man, thing), + exceedingly, X great, grief (-vous), harm, heavy, hurt (-ful), ill (favoured), + mark, mischief, (-vous), misery, naught (-ty), noisome, + not please, sad (-ly), sore, sorrow, trouble, vex, wicked (-ly, -ness, one), worse (-st) wretchedness, wrong.

The Hebrew definition of good:

H2896 ?tobe? From H2895; (good, a good, beautiful, best, better, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, X fair (word), (be in) favour, fine, glad, good (deed, -lier, liest, -ly, -ness, -s), graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, liketh (best), loving, merry, X most, pleasant, + pleaseth, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, (be) well favoured.

II. The Difference Between a Blessing?& A Curse

It is the difference between a blessing and a curse.? God promises us a blessing … even in the Old Covenant! (read Deuteronomy 28) In Christ, we have better promises. (Hebrews 8:6)? We need to be wise in what comes out of our mouths.? What are we saying?? What are we saying about ourselves? ? What are we listening to? Who are we listening to? What are we thinking? Where is our meditation?? (Read Psalm 1) How much of what we are thinking is our own vain imagination vs. God’s Word?? One of our job descriptions is to “cast out devils”. ?This is basic.?Jesus gave this authority to all of His disciples.

Mark 6:13
“And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.”

We must be free from darkness and lies ourselves to walk in the authority that God freely gives us. We need to be God consciousness, not looking for a devil around every corner.? We also need to wake up and smell the roses or the rotten potatoes.? When things stink it is our job to clean the atmosphere. When there are evil thoughts, lies and anything other than what the Holy Spirit has inspired it is our job to destroy these things, cast them down and get rid of them.?We need to take authority over this stuff. ?This was the purpose of the Son of God manifested… to destroy the works of the devil.? This is our job description too.

1 John 3:8
“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of
the devil.”

III. Come Into Agreement with God

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.? We should speak this over our lives every day until it sinks down deep into our spirits.? Say to God, “I receive your righteousness, peace and joy that comes from the Holy Spirit.” ?You don’t have to work for it, it is free. ?But we need to learn how to receive what Christ has already accomplished on the cross. ?If we are experiencing anything other than the fruit of the Spirit, there is a door open that we need to shut.? This will only happen by our shutting the door to the lies.? We must break the agreements, even subtle agreements, we have made with lies in order to come into agreement with God’s truth. Take time in the scriptures to discover what the truth really is on matters of the heart, things that you may be struggling with. ?The knowledge of His truth and our agreement with it, sets us free.
