Getting on God's Radar

Our pursuit of God plays a key role in getting us recognized by God. God’s love is there for everyone (John 3:16), in this sense God recognizes everyone, but being used in His Kingdom is a different story (Luke 9:62). Imagine a radar, picture it in your mind, where you see the blips on that green screen where something is detected in a certain scope or sphere. This is a picture of how we are also recognized and detected on God’s all seeing radar. The eyes of the Lord search throughout the earth looking (2 Chron. 16:9). Why does He have to search? Because not everyone is searching for Him. Not everyone is seeking His interests, but their own. God is looking for a true hunger and thirst for righteousness in our hearts.

Come Alive

When a radar detects an object – it is something substantial, moving and active. God detects our pursuit and hunger. It just happens – it does not go unnoticed! Heaven’s radar automatically detects when there is an engagement with heaven, when there is a churning of the spirit in pursuit of God and when there is a cry for awakening in the heart. When you put metal next to a magnet there will always be a pull. It is a natural law that is set in motion and will always stay the same. In the same way, there are spiritual dynamics that have been set in motion and will always stay the same. When we humble ourselves in the sight of God He will always lift us up (James 4:10). When we seek the Lord, He will always be found (Luke 11:9). When we thirst for righteousness we will always be filled (Matt. 5:6). When your light rises through intimate pursuit of God your blip will appear on God’s radar – you will light up on the screen and He will notice you.

Refresh Your Spirit

Click the refresh button on your life. Get a fresh download of His Presence. Your time is valuable whether you recognize it or not. Make the most of your time rather than wasting it. When you find empty space, what do you fill it with? Think of your options.

Invest in your spirit through worship, prayer, meditation (on His Word) and simply drinking of His Spirit (Eph. 5:18).

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

1 Corinthians 2:11-12

Get your jump start for the day in worship and His Word – then maintain that place through feeding your heart through the day by a communion with His Spirit.

Find the Ancient Paths

Because My people have forgotten Me,They have burned incense to worthless idols.And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways,From the ancient paths,To walk in pathways and not on a highway.

Jeremiah 18:15

What is the cure for forgetting the Lord remembering? Remember the Lord – continually allowing Him to be your Source throughout the day. What are the ancient paths? It is the path that Enoch found. Enoch walked with God in such a way that God took him from the earth (Gen. 5:24). It is the path that Noah discovered. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Gen. 6:8). The grace being the favor of God. Favor that brought deliverance and rescue. Noah and his family were rescued from the flood of wickedness by a flood sent by God. Noah rose above the tide of evil in the Ark of God’s salvation – because he had discovered this path of righteousness.

Discover the beauty of holiness. David found that holiness was beautiful.

Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth.

Psalm 96:9

Being holy is not about externals but the internal life that is decorated in pure worship to God. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness – in a life that is consecrated to God in purity and love for God. Some try to see how close they can live in worldly ways and get away with it – those who love God try to see how close they can live to God! They have forsaken the paths of idolatry and sin because they have recognized the great love that Jesus demonstrated on the cross so that they could be free! Don’t use your freedom as an occasion for sin but to live set apart to God. God loved Enoch more than most – so much so that God took him up to be with Him.

Surely, He loved the people;
all His holy ones are in Your hand,
and they sit down at Your feet;
everyone receives Your words.

Deuteronomy 33:3

33:3 is symbolic of the fullness, the Godhead (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) and our fullness of devotion to God (spirit, soul and body), being set apart before the Lord. Give yourself over to be a holy one that is held in the hands of God, sits at His feet and receives the treasure from the words of His mouth. The word for love that is used in this verse is habab, which means to hide in the bosom, to cherish with fervent affection. When you become one who highly values the Lord, demonstrating that through your actions, God responds with great affection and appreciation for there is nothing He values more than to spend time with His own. This causes you to light up on His radar screen – then He says, I can see you now. Be alive to God and dead to sin (Rom. 6:11).
Intensify your pursuit of the Lord. Are you believing in God for increase, then increase your devotion, dedication and commitment to His plans and purposes? God has only good in store for those who walk before Him. When we seek the Lord He rewards us for He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6).
