Grace is the divine influence upon the heart. The Lord longs and loves to blow upon our hearts filling us afresh with His Spirit. It is the breath of God that enables us to live the life of love that He has called us to. He is the Spirit of grace. We are exhorted to stand strong in that grace that is in Christ Jesus.
You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 2:1
Deep Revelation of Grace
Paul had a very deep revelation of the grace of God and how important it was to every believer. Our hearts left to themselves easily drift wayward in the direction of doing rather than being who God has already made us to be. The heart is deceitful above all things. So it can be prone to this drifting away. But the Lord continually draws us deeper into Him by His Spirit.
His Spirit is within us and will be released through us as we yield ourselves to Him. In the well of our hearts is where the river flows forth from within. There is already a deposit that has been placed within us that we can continually tap for more. We don’t need to wait for an exciting meeting, big event or revival, because revival is within us. God is revival. He lives inside of us. Revival is a person, the Holy Spirit within us. He is the rushing river. He is the fire. He is the wind. He is much more that all of this. He is always there for us to access. It is a matter of desire within us.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
John 7:38
The Water Source
It is His desire to come rushing out of us in His never-ending love to touch all that is in His path. Deep calls unto deep. The waterfalls of the Lord are flowing. It is as simple as positioning yourself under that spout where the glory comes out. Paul exhorted Timothy to stir up the gift of God that is within. Why For an event To preach a sermon No. He was pointing Him to the well source within. The Lord has already placed within us the divine deposits that are needed to see atmospheres and people touched and transformed. It is the river within that makes the difference. You have an anointing from the Holy One. That anointing teaches and ministers life.
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
1 John 2:27
The Atmosphere of Heaven
Heaven is a beautiful and powerful place. The Lord desires heaven to be on earth. As heaven abides in us, heaven will transform everything else. All of our circumstances, hard places, difficulties and trials are transformed by His life within us. This is how He makes all things work together for the good. If He is for us, then who is against us He has freely given us all things that we may be conduits of the glories of heaven on earth. We have this treasure inside of us. As we access this treasure we will see all kinds of heavenly surprises! It is like opening up gifts from heaven. It is an endless storehouse of the gifts of heaven and they are all locked up within us. In divine connection with Him we find greater grace for the journey. These grace gifts enable us to move into the divine destiny that the Lord has appointed us to. The Spirit is intimately connected with the release of these gifts and manifestations of heaven.
God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will . . .
Hebrews 2:4
Simplicity, Abiding & Identity
The things of heaven are simple and are spiritually understood and received. They are only complex to the natural mind. They are mind-blowing! The natural mind cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit. It just can’t figure the things of the kingdom out. Just as the simplicity of salvation confounds the wisdom of man, it is the wisdom of God revealed in simplicity that overcomes all things. The simplicity of devotion that is found in Christ is the key to abiding in Him.
Childlike Dependency
What we do is determined by who we are. The things we do come from our dwelling and abiding in Him. I pray because I’m His child. I don’t pray to qualify to be His child. Good things can turn into our own works of righteousness if they dont bring us into deep intimacy with Him. We must know our identity is not wrapped up in what we do, even the spiritual things, but in who we are as the children of God. It is as simple as a relationship. It is Father to child. As we walk in the revelation that “apart from Him we can do nothing” we will find that all things are possible through Him. Unless we become as a little child that is completely dependent on the Father we cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.
Luke 18:17
It is the childlike dependency that keeps us in the safe-place. It is all about relationships and dependency on His grace. We are weak and His grace is perfect in that weakness. It is not about knowledge and being right about things. It is about yielding to simple abandonment to Him, becoming one with Him. His love is perfect. It is the kind of love that gives without hidden motives. Unconditional love is real love. It is the love of God.
