Did you know that God has given us the ability to shift the balance of power When things look one way, we have the power to shift them a different way through our prayer, intercession and worship. Jesus had this in mind when He said, Will the Son of Man find faith on the earth when He returns He wants to do justice and change the direction of the winds for His people.
I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?
Luke 18:8
We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:8). This implies that there will be situations that will try to dictate what our reality will be, testing our faith. We will be challenged by what we see. If it was ok to walk by sight then we would not need to walk by faith. What we see we would just take as something that cannot be altered and leave it as it is. This may be the case for many but God is looking for a different response from us. It is all too easy to just settle back and say that is just the way it is. God is looking for a people who will not settle for this passive, lethargic and apathetic mindset. He is looking for His people to know who they are and to know the authority that He has entrusted to them. He wants His people to wake up, realize who they are in Christ and smell the fragrance of the Rose of Sharon. Jesus is much more powerful than anything on earth. As we capture the fragrance of His Presence, learn His direction and give our lives a sweet-smelling aroma – a sacrifice to God, we will see a change (Ephesians 5:2).
God wants us to shift the balance of power in the authority of His Name. He is releasing strategies that will unlock lives, cities and regions to His power and glory. Do you see things that need to be shifted in your life, your family, in your city and region? The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
The contrary winds of the enemy come against our minds. When we win the battle of the mind, we can win the battle of faith. We’ve been given the power to do the job, take the territory and get the victory. It may be that some of the personal shifts and sacrifices you make will cause greater ripple effects beyond yourself. Consider a life of greater sacrifice, of efficiency and excellence. Daniel was one who had an excellent spirit (Daniel 5:12).
He was a pursuer of God – someone willing to pay the price as many others throughout the scripture. A gospel without cost is not the gospel of Christ. If Jesus paid the ultimate price to bring us the good news, then how much more will we pay a price to bring the light of God and of the gospel to others.
