The Ark of His Presence

When we are in the right position, walking in our prescribed place before God, the Ark of His Presence can be nothing less than a complete blessing to us. Of course, in our day we are the “ark” and His Presence dwells in us. Our yielded lives determine the measure of blessing we receive and experience.

Obed-Edom had a divine appointment to house the Ark of God in his very own dwelling place. What an honor and privilege! Just by having the Ark of God in His house EVERYTHING was blessed. He was blessed in ALL that he had. That is the way it is when we are in God’s perfect groove for our lives loving His Presence. When the Ark of God is welcome in our lives all that we have, all that we do is blessed.

So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.

1 Chronicles 13:13-14

With Uzza, how he touched the Ark of God, we have a picture here of how important it is to not walk in presumption, trying to be something we are not (1 Chronicles 13:9-12). When we are content to be what God has called us to be there is an overflowing blessing for us. Here is the deal. If people are not content to be what God has called us to be, covet other positions, titles and others place in the Kingdom, then it will result in spiritual death. The Presence of God will have just the opposite effect in our lives.

God no longer lives in a box.He lives in us. We are the “ark of His Presence”. There is also greater grace for us in the New Covenant in Christ. We are the temples of the Holy Spirit. We are living arks of His Presence. His Presence combined with a heart of contentment is great gain! When all religious leaven is removed we can enter into the fullness of the blessing of God that comes when we welcome His Presence to dwell in our midst. The Ark of His Presence releases the blessing of God into our lives.

Free From Covetousness

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Colossians 3:1-5

A Better Covenant

But now hath He (Jesus) obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Hebrews 8:6

Temples of the Holy Spirit

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Everything is Blessed

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
