Knowing Our Place & Call
[dropcap style=”font-size: 60px; color: #9b9b9b;”] I [/dropcap]n the Old Covenant we have the Ark of God’s Presence as a picture of the manifested Presence, the glory of God in the midst of His people.? Where the Ark of God was, the blessing of God was as well.? David had not brought up the Ark of God since Saul’s reign.? When David did bring up the ark he had a bad experience because Uzza tried to stabilize the ark seeing that the oxen were stumbling.? It is good to know what you are called to.? God struck Uzza dead because he moved in presumption.? It looked and maybe seemed like a nice thing to do, but it was not God’s way. ? Maybe Uzza was wanting a special feeling by touching the Ark of God, but it obviously did not turn out as what he envisioned.? This is a good lesson in knowing how to stay in your called place in the Kingdom, moving outside of that can be dangerous.
I Chronicles 13:9-12
“And when they came to Chidon’s* threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled. ? Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.? And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzza; therefore that place is called Perez Uzza* to this day. ? David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring the ark of God to me?”
The Ark of God In Our House
I Chronicles 13:13-14
“So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.? 14? The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.”
When we are in right position, walking in our prescribed place before God,? the Ark of God can be nothing less than a complete blessing to us.? Obed-Edom had a divine appointment to house the Ark of God in his very own dwelling place.? What an honor and privilege!? Just by having the Ark of God in His house EVERYTHING was blessed.? He was blessed in ALL that he had.? That is the way it is when we are in God’s perfect groove for our lives loving His Presence.? When the Ark of God is welcome in our lives all that we have, all that we do is blessed.
With Uzza, how he touched the Ark of God, we have a picture here of how important it is to not walk in presumption, trying to be something we are not. (I Chronicles 13:9-12) When we are content to be what God has called us to be there is an overflowing blessing for us.? Here is the deal.? If people are not content to be what God has called us to be, covet other positions, titles and others place in the Kingdom, then it will result in spiritual death. The Presence of God will have just the opposite effect in
our lives.
God no longer lives in a box.? He lives in us.? There is also greater grace for us in the New Covenant?in Christ.? We are the temples of the Holy Spirit.? We are living arks of His Presence.? His Presence combined with a heart of contentment is great gain!? When all religious leaven is removed we can enter into the fullness of the blessing of God that comes when we welcome His Presence to dwell in our midst. ?The Ark of His Presence releases the blessing of God upon us.

- ?Free From Covetousness
Colossians 3:1-5
?If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which
is idolatry.?
- A Better Covenant
Hebrews 8:6?
?But now hath He (Jesus) obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.?
- Temples of the Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
?Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.?
- Everything is Blessed
Proverbs 10:22
?The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.? ?[/box]
