What Does God's Favor Look Like?

A Quality of Life

God surrounds His righteous ones with favor like a shield. His favor is for a lifetime.

Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.

Psalms 30:7

The eyes of the Lord search throughout the earth to find those whose hearts are toward Him. Where He finds the person seeking His face is where He pours out His favor.

Does God want to pour out His favor on us? Or course He does. It is His nature to do this.

It would be completely contrary to Who He is to deny His people favor, blessings and increase. The essence of heaven on earth is the best quality of life that you could ever experience. As we align ourselves with His truth, goodness and the understanding of our role as sons in His family you can only conclude that His blessings are predetermined for our lives.

Prosperity with a Purpose

It is part of our role to be partakers in transformation and to be transformers of the quality of life both spiritually and naturally on this planet, more specifically for people as that come to know Jesus. This is not only in the context of salvation but to disciple nations. God establishes His covenant with us through prospering us – even giving wealth.

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Deuteronomy 8:18

Because of this His favor is essential to see His Kingdom come on earth. His favor is not optional or a “maybe” He will. On the contrary, the burden is left to us to catch the bigger God-sized vision that He has for us. When we get this we will more easily see that this call cannot be fulfilled without the fullness of His help and favor.

All Encompassing Blessing

His favor encompasses everything that is needed for the call He has placed upon our lives. His favor comes as we are obedient to that call. His favor is dependent on our extreme dependency upon Him in relationship as we live by faith rather than a list.

I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

Just as Jesus showed us that He is the Vine and we are the branches to His favor only happens as we abide in Him. This is realized as we devote ourselves to communion with His Spirit, Word and truth. He is the life flow that brings health, blessing and abundant favor.

  1. I have learned that when I forget to expect Papa’s favor, it isn’t as evident. As I choose to look for His favor, it seems to pour out most abundantly. Thanks for the message!
