More important than being able to spout information, we need to be people who can absorb His Presence along with the things of God that come through impartation, the varieties of gifts and anointings. The Holy Spirit transfers by revelation and impartation. It is a heart to heart connection that enables us to absorb His life, truth and glory into our lives. When God speaks it is so from His heart that it can cause our heart to burn.
And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us”.
Luke 24:32
It is not about how much information we can cram in our head. The head can only accomplish so much. The intellect ever strives to figure things out never coming to the ultimate conclusion. The heart finds the conclusion from the beginning because this is where true relationship with God is formed.
The more time we take to receive the wisdom and revelation that God desires to pour in us the more we will walk in His ways, be in touch with His reality and find the waters of life within. There is no reason why anyone in Christ should live in a dry place. God did not give us a half-baked promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told us that “rivers” would spring out of our innermost being. This issue is never on God’s end.
The question is who is willing to hang out with God. Is what God speaks that valuable to you, that you will actually stop for one word that the Lord speaks? This is the measure of our hunger. People heave and hoe about how they want revival but will they stop and drink of the Holy Spirit on their own We need to begin with our own heart getting revived in God then we spend more time being filled, releasing the life of God to people. We are the habitations of God, people who carry His glory.
Absorb His Presence
When we are saturated with His Presence we find a place of grace, contentment and overflow. Things come much easier when His life is present with us. There is nothing that compares with His tangible Presence in our lives. A sponge is a wonderful picture of how things work in the Spirit. A sponge will suck up all the water and hold it! A sponge can then release that water as the hand squeezes it out. Has God ever squeezed you? When we are filled with His Presence God can squeeze us so that His presence will spill out on people. If we do not take time to absorb His presence then there is nothing for Him to squeeze out of us. A dry sponge is only good for absorbing. If you are dry it is time to soak in God’s Presence. Simple. Check your tank, you might be empty. Get filled, go pour out. Let God squeeze you… Be a holy sponge for God!
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…
Ephesians 5:18-20
Take several times throughout the day to soak in His Presence, to really absorb the Holy Spirit in Your life. Let God wash you. Get the fresh water of heaven in your life so that you can be a blessing to others. The best way I find to soak in God’s presence is with intimate worship, instrumental music that has the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon it. Heavenly sound has a way to connecting our hearts to the water source. It is not hard. It just takes a little effort on our part to commit the time to Him. Get comfortable, relax, turn on the music, pray in the spirit, give thanks to God and just spend time with Him. Don’t worry about anything. That will kill the anointing quicker than just about anything. Allow your heart to be free in His Presence, coming with an offering of thanks in faith believing for Him to touch you in a fresh way.
The Rainbow Realm of God’s Promise
God is raising up leaders that will live in the realm of promise having the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit upon their lives. God is bringing them forth in the anointing of His Presence. These leaders will respond to the call of God following after His heart without compromise. They will not have a controlling, performance or a religious competitive mindset as they will be focused on the Lord’s heart and desires.
There is no place found for “religious leaven” because their focus is intimacy with God and surrender to the Holy Spirit. These are dreamers that will come out with colored clothing focused on the promises of God, living in the “rainbow realm” of God’s promise. They will be a people of the Throne Room of God.
Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
Revelation 4:2-3
With a heart of faith they will live in the reality of the eternal inheritance that is accessible in Christ. They will be led forth with peace into the open and clear roads that God has laid out for them while living out their priestly ministry to the Lord in worship. This is to “whosoever will”. Nobody is exempt, for God is not a respector of persons. Your age, size, weight, where you live or hairdo does not play a role in your qualifying. It is all by His grace. All that is required is a willingness to leave the old ways behind to fully embrace the fresh beginning that God gives.
We are moving into a season of great promise. The rainbow represents a covenant of life, new life and color that is fresh and alive. God desires His people to be colorful, dreamers and those who believe, living in His realm of promise. All of the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ. There is beauty and life found in His promises as we partake of them through the divine nature. That is Christ in us the hope of glory.
