For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:4
Recipients of His Inheritance
Before we can experience any lasting breakthrough in our lives there must come a place of realization of who we are in Christ. It is in Him that we find promises fulfilled. There is an engagement of our spirit, soul and body in the life that He has given to us. Through faith, prayer and action we are the recipients of the inheritance He has freely given to us.
Now the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13
He is the God of hope and promise. All hope comes from Him and He guides us in the steps of His plan for our lives. As we tap into that plan we will find a stream of blessing that will continue to flow in us and through us. We are blessed to be a blessing.
The Secret of Contentment
As we learn the secret of being content whether in plenty or in little there comes a freedom from covetousness. These are the feelings and thoughts of never having enough. But God will always supply all of our needs. He is faithful and does not let us down.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Phil 4:11
He is our “Jehovah Jirah”, the provider of all things that pertain to life and godliness. One glimpse of heaven will give us enough vision to lay aside the cares and concerns of this worldly life. One encounters of that other place puts things into perspective. His realities can seem so distant to us when we don’t see them in our own worlds. This is why it is all the more important for us to press into His heart to see His world, to set our minds on things above.
It is in this place that we can find the heavenly perspective that sets our thinking in order. Could you imagine that God would like to “shift” our thinking? It is true. It is a major shift that He desires to bring so that we can live in the realities of being seated in heavenly places with Him. Information can only be as powerful as our revelation. Our revelation can only be as powerful as our understanding of that revelation that He gives to us.
Digging Deeper
Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. We need to hear who we are in Him. Our ear gates need to be having an inward flow of the truths of who we are in Him. Our minds need to be constantly renewed. To be renewed means that we hear it again and again. It is not a one-time thing. People have the tendency to forget so we need to be reminded continually of God’s goodness, faithfulness and promise to us. You may hear something and say to yourself, “I know that”. But the reality is that none of us really know the eternal depths of the smallest promise that God has given. The water is much deeper than we can imagine. To the degree that we dive into the experience is the same degree that we “understand” that truth. Information only is surface level, very thin and fragile – easy to break. People who are shallow will not go very far. It is to those who dig deep that find the treasures that God has buried for our diligent search. We dig, then dig again and again to go deeper into His truth.
The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
Isaiah 33:5-6
There is no end to the searching but an ever-increasing level of understanding. His love is deeper than we can fathom. The revelation and understanding of His love for us will never end. We will never completely be able to grasp the depth of it. But He will let us dig, dig more and keep digging to receive as much comprehension of it that we can. By His grace we will receive more and more of the deposit into our hearts and grow in that never-ending love He has for us.
His Family, His Desires, His Peace
As we grow in understanding of His desires for who He says that we are because of being His family, we begin to see ourselves and us for who we really are. We then begin to understand His was and purposes in our lives that in turn gives us peace because we know He are His. In our yielding to His desire we find rest and can be released from the strivings of the natural mind that likes to have everything figured out.
